We are a group of young internationals who met at an Online Marketing course and connected through our love for the vintage style in Budapest. Our goal is to promote the continuous use of vintage clothes, show you places where you can find them at affordable prices and promote an environmentally friendly lifestyle. We believe that #belonging to the community is important and defines us, which is why, through our blog, we want to share our experiences about sustainable fashion, the vintage industry and news about thrift shops in Budapest. Behind the „Vintage Hunter” project there are people who want to explore, inform and inspire you, our reader, to join us on this journey.
What we want to achieve:
To promote more than 10 outlets and second-hand shops where people can find interesting vintage style items;
To gather a community of at least 3000 people interested in our blog all around Budapest;
To educate the community through useful information about the impact of the clothing industry on humanity, the sustainability of resources and its continuous reuse.
What will you find on this blog?
We will go weekly to thrift shops and have a special section for you called #FindingsOfTheWeek. This way we want to constantly communicate with you and prove how many unique and beautiful clothes can be found day by day.
Another goal of ours is to recreate famous outfits designed from items that we find on our thrift shopping journeys. We will prove that vintage clothing is a good alternative not just for you, but for the environment too.
On Vintage Hunter you will find all the daily and weekly promotions from shops in Budapest, as well as a lot of useful articles about this industry and interesting things that everybody should know about vintage clothes.

Nota Bene: It might be a little boring to read about someone you never met, isn't it? To spice things up, we visited the closest thrift shop to our houses - Cream (Vámház krt. 15, 1093), and decided to pick an outfit for each other.
Vika is obsessed with fashion, architecture, and long walks. She is always up to date on the latest runway outfits, collections and newest high fashion designers and can easily help you to find the outfit of your dreams. Do not rush to throw your favourite old-fashioned jeans away because she will know the perfect match to make it look trendy again. And she is ready to explore this vintage world with you.
Vlada is interested in books, travelling and history. When she has the opportunity to visit a new city, the most important thing for her is the architectural style and the old buildings. Passionate about environmental problems, recycling and reused things, that's why she wants to discover the world of vintage clothes and to convince people that used things deserve another chance.
Cristina loves everything about the digital world and technology, traveling, sunsets and to enjoy a glass of wine in the company of good friends. She discovered her love for thrift shops when she was living in Brussels where she found a thrift shop close to her university called “Second chance”. She visited it almost on a daily basis. The idea of wearing a piece of clothing that has a history that she’ll probably never know about, fascinates her. And smoothies, she loves smoothies.
Cristian is interested in travelling, discovering small cities and villages, finding spots which are not so popular with tourists but still worth to be visited. He is not so much into fashion and shopping as other members of the group, but being passionate about investments and business things, he got interested in the business model of thrift shops and how things work in this industry. Therefore, Cristian will shed light on how thrift shops are doing business.
Mariann always loved Music and Art. Since she was little she was inspired by Music and her favorite artists and so did her interest in fashion, always trying to look like whoever she’s currently obsessed with. Being the social butterfly that she is, she also gets inspiration from her very different friend groups and loves experimenting with styles. Her short dark hair, tiny handbag and cigarettes are her trademark.
